Jamie Moore
Jamie founded KCx Engineering on a simple principle borrowed from Lord Kelvin: to measure is to know. With over a decade of experience spanning three continents — and roles on every side of the table, as contractor, consultant, and building owner — Jamie brings a systems-level view to commissioning that few in the industry can match.
Originally from Ireland, Jamie holds a Ph.D. in Thermodynamics from the University of Limerick, where his research focused on industrial-scale air-cooled heat exchangers for renewable energy applications. That grounding in heat transfer, instrumentation, and controls now underpins KCx's approach to every project — from operating room ventilation upgrades to hospital chiller optimization and critical infrastructure commissioning.
Jamie is a licensed Professional Engineer in BC, a published researcher, and a former technical reviewer for the International Journal of Energy and Applied Thermal Engineering. He's passionate about the role of data in driving low-carbon building performance, and about building a commissioning practice that proves its value with evidence, not assurances.
Iurii Fuglevych
Iurii keeps KCx's field operations running the way clients expect them to: on schedule, well-coordinated, and backed by rigorous technical execution. A Mechanical Engineer trained at the National Technical University of Ukraine (KhPI), he brings deep hands-on expertise in the commissioning and balancing of complex mechanical and energy systems across air and hydronic systems, central plants, energy recovery, and precision-controlled environments.
Iurii has excelled into a broader leadership role at KCx, coordinating project delivery across the firm's active portfolio and mentoring junior engineers as they build their own commissioning and TAB expertise. He's often the one holding the day-to-day plan together — sequencing field work, resolving issues as they surface, and making sure the team stays aligned with project schedules and client expectations from mobilization through close-out.
That blend of technical fluency and steady, hands-on leadership makes Iurii a key point of continuity for clients working with KCx across multiple projects, and a driving force behind the consistency of the team's field delivery.
Jianing Wang
Jianing bridges the gap between design intent and real-world system performance. As KCx's lead on controls, he reviews control system design and programming implementation across every project, ensuring that what's specified is actually what gets delivered.
Jianing holds a Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology from BCIT and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in China — a combination that makes him equally comfortable in the mechanical room and inside the BAS.
Beyond commissioning, Jianing leads development of KCx's in-house data analytics tools, building the platforms that give clients deeper, ongoing insight into how their buildings actually perform after the ribbon is cut.
